November 20, 2004 - New Things!
It has been a long time since we have updated the site. But, not much has happened. We did a few projects over the summer, including installing a new screen door on the front door & building a new deck! We will post pictures soon of the deck project.

Then the school year started and took off quickly. It definitely seems busier this year than it did last year, though I'm not sure why. Overall it has been great! I am having fun using the new technology that I earned last year for my classroom. We've already made a few movies and have been able to use the new equipment in a lot of different settings. I took on a few new responsibilities this year, including helping maintain the school webpage & becoming the new webmaster for the TARGET grant project that I participated in last year. (This is the grant where I received all of the computer equipment for my classroom.) I am also a co-writer of a grant on measurement where we were able to obtain new measurement materials for the classroom.

Justin is continuing to learn new things at work. He reached his first year at the company in September (I can't believe he's already been working there a year!). His year review went well and he received a much appreciated raise!

Daisy is doing wonderfully! She is as spoiled as ever and loves it when I come home with a new squeaky toy for her to play with! Justin's new rule for me is "No more squeaky toys." How sad...

June 2, 2004 - Summer is here - sort of...
It is the end of school year, but somehow, I'm not done teaching! I really enjoyed this school year and I loved my kiddos. It was a great school year with terrific kids! I put together an end of the year movie that is pretty simple, but shows my kids for the last time...

Right now, Justin is continuing to work with At Home Healthcare. I'm busy working on a summer school program through the grant that I have been a part of this school year. It has definitely been busy!

Marci and Travis gave birth to Meredith Nicole! She is beautiful! Click on her picture to see more!

Janiece graduated last weekend from Naaman Forest High School - congratulations girl! We are very proud of her and will put a movie up soon of her graduation.

Things going on: We installed a new storm door on our front door! Light finally comes into the front of our house now! We are working on the measurements for a deck in our backyard and will probably begin that soon. It is definitely a home improvment summer!

Keep looking. I'll be updating the website hopefully a little more regularly this summer.

April 29, 2004 - Cool School Movie!
I thought I'd share a really cool school project with you! We went on a video scavenger hunt around school looking for Simple Machines. Then we videotaped our own explanations of each type of simple machines. I pieced it together in Windows Movie Maker. The kids loved it!

April 28, 2004 - Summer is Coming!
Hello to all of you faithful website watchers out there! If you noticed, it has been a while since we have updated our website. Things have been going very quickly around here. It seems like the first day of school was just yesterday. And now there is only one month left until my first year of teaching is over!

Things have been going well. Church and work are great. God has provided for us.

Justin's sister, Marci, just had her baby - Meredith Nicole. We look forward to getting pictures of her and getting to know her better this summer!

This summer, I will be teaching summer school for a special technology grant. It should be a lot of fun, but I will be looking forward to July when I have a little bit of a break. Justin will continue working this summer - though he sees a few benefits to teaching now...

Overall, we are still loving Tyler and all of our new friends! It has been great to see how God has worked through each situation that has come about.
