End of June - Middle of July, 2007 - Around the house
& Gran's Visit
In my effort to organize the living room and make
it appear to be less of a "kid's play room", I bought
some new baskets to keep under the coffee table with her toys. This
was the first, but not the last, time that she emptied her blocks
out of the basket and let us put blocks in on top of her. She's
now started helping gather the blocks around the edges to help us
pile them on top of her.
Here is Ella playing dress up. She loves putting
on clothes herself and wearing them around the house. Such a silly
girl! I really have to watch my undergarment drawer because those
are her favorite to wear around her neck!
I thought these were cute pictures by the door.
She loves pulling the chair up and trying to unlock and lock the
door and play with the light switches.
Here is Ella when she found the laundry basket
outside her bedroom door full of her dirty clothes I was getting
out to wash. She put every single outfit on her arms. In the last
picture, she wanted me to pick her up - she must have been ten pounds
heavier with the clothes and boots on!

As most of you know, it has rained more than it
has been sunny this month. The backyard was very difficult to mow
since it was always flooded or soaked. Ella didn't seem to mind
too much though. With the yard in the state it was in, we played
with the sprinkler on the deck in the kiddie pool. Daisy and her
had a blast! You'll notice in the up-close picture of her boot (third
picture) - she wouldn't take them off when playing in her pool and
they just filled with water. Didn't seem to bother her much!

She LOVES helping clean house. Since this picture,
she has acquired her very own mop, broom, and cleaning kit. This
has helped me to not have our mop, broom, or duster scattered everywhere...
She has a little play stroller that she puts her
babydoll in and pushes around and one day she decided to get in
herself. She fit relatively well until she wanted to lay her head
back. Here she is climbing in and trying to buckle herself into
the stroller.

Daddy's rain jacket is so much fun to play dress
up in!

Here's my new haircut - I was too hot to keep
it long anymore...

Gran came into town and they had a blast playing
together.

Here's Gran pushing Ella in her play stroller.
Someone left the pantry door open... Those are
trash bags that Ella pulled out of the box one by one.

These pictures aren't the best, but if you look
closely you'll see crayon on Ella's mouth/lips. When I get ready
in the morning if she is in there, I'll put lipstick on her lightly.
She decided she wanted green lipstick today...
