Very End of March, 2007 - Ella's First Camping Trip

The last weekend of March, first weekend of April, we took Ella on her very first camping trip. Ella, Daisy, and I headed out early Friday afternoon and set up camp and Daddy came later to help finish up. It was a fun trip! Here are some pictures of our site.

Overnight it rained, I mean STORMED, but Ella slept through it all in her pack n' play in the tent. We were thankful, though not quite as rested since the storm and hard ground kept us up... The next day, we took Ella for her first nature walk on one of the easier trails. She had a blast being able to get out of her stroller and run and play.

We stopped by a park later that afternoon where I ran into one of my students that I teach. Ella wasn't as interested in the swing as much as she was all of the little cub scouts around the park.

Back at our camp site, we played in the dirt while Daddy worked on a fire. It was a little chilly that weekend.

Overall it was a fun first camping trip. Ella even took a nap in her pack n' play at naptime - she did great!
