Halloween, 2008

We dressed the kids up Scooby-Doo themed this year. I found a cheap Scooby Doo costume at Walmart and we just bought Ella clothes that matched Velma on Scooby Doo. I ended up dying a white turtleneck orange so that we could complete our look, but it was a lot of fun. We actually had glasses for Ella to wear (Harry Potter glasses leftover from Tommy's birthday party), but she wouldn't keep them on.

This was at our pumpkin carving party that we hosted at our house this year. The little kids painted pumpkins and the big kids (us) carved them. We had a good turnout and we love the size of our new dining area - it could seat up to three card tables and our kitchen table all combined. It will work perfectly for when we host my side of the family coming up before Christmas!

Here's the pumpkin Daddy carved.

We went to a Halloween party at a friend's house the morning of Halloween. She had a few neighbors that are home during the day give out candy to the kids. It was so cute taking the group trick-or-treating. Ella had a blast!

Halloween night my mom came into town and we went to our church for the Autumn Festival. Ella had a lot of fun playing the games and earning treats! Everett even got to play one game where you throw balls and he did better than his sister at hitting the target!

The next day (Saturday), Meridith and the kids came into town and we all went to Boo at the Zoo. We got some great pictures of the HUGE alligator and a picture of our new exhibit, the Meerkats!
